SIMEC - IRON DUKE MINE SITE SA

MCE Designed a cascading modular chute system to allow removal of grinding media. This was a great challenge due to the limited space and project turn-around time!

PAPYRUS Ltd - PULPING PLANT DESIGN

MCE is undertaking the Engineering Design to develop modular equipment manufacturing solutions for Papyrus.

This project will enable them to rapidly deploy their technology across key banana growing regions globally. The focus will be on a high level of pre-assembly and configuration, providing simplified end-user installation, commissioning and operation.

LIBERTY - 48" HDPE SALTWATER MAIN DESIGN

MCE designed a 48″ HDPE Saltwater Bypass Main to feed the existing Boiler House.

The design included Hydraulics, and all Civil and Structural design for supports and thrust management.

SIMEC - PELLET PLANT ID FAN FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS

MCE Modelled and analysed the air-flow of the ID Fan using Ansys to optimise efficiency in the system.

PELLET PLANT CLASSIFIER REPLACEMENT

We are assisting our client with engineering design in and around the replacement of the Pellet Plant Classifier, including structural assessment and remediation, and installation methodology and scope of work development.

SIMEC - PELLET PLANT GRINDING MILL FEASABILITY STUDY

MCE in conjunction with Mineral Technologies, produced a feasibility study for the implementation of a grinding-mill system to re-integrate clumped pellets back into the system

SIMEC - PELLET PLANT COOLER COLUMN REPLACEMENT

MCE Undertook condition assessment, reporting for the Cooler Columns resulting in remediation design for the in-situ replacment of a number of main support columns.

SIMEC - PELLET PLANT COOLER PALLET DUMMY RAIL

We designed a system that allows the in-situ support of the Cooler Pallets while the Cooler is rotated during maintenance cycles.

SIMEC - PELLET PLANT DUCT RE-DESIGN

MCE Redesigned an existing duct to ensure easier installation during shutdown.

GFG ALLIANCE - Project Lazarus - Electric Arc Furnace

Metric were engaged to assist with developing early layouts and concept models of the proposed EAF ahead of EPCM engagement. This is an exciting project for Whyalla, and MCE are looking forward to assisting with this project as it rolls out.

SIMEC - SMR COUNTERWEIGHT TILTING FRAME

We designed a maintenance tilting frame for the crusher counterweight.

The frame is also a lifting frame allowing the CW to be listed with a crane.
